FABTECH JOINS LOVELL RACING IN CHASE FOR REPEAT UROC CHAMPIONSHIP
Colorado Springs, CO 12/24/05 - Lovell Rock Racing is proud to announce Fabtech Motorsports as their Title Sponsor for the 2006 rockcrawling season. The alliance provides the Lovells with the vast resources of the leading off-road suspension manufacturer, while Fabtech benefits from a valuable platform for product development and marketing. "With Fabtech's exploding Jeep product line and our appetite to partner with a winning rockcrawling team the Lovell's were at the top of our list," said Brent Riley, president of Fabtech. "These guys know what it takes to win and can back it up. They'll be a powerhouse in the Modified class for 2006. We're not only looking forward to seeing this team win next year but we'll be receiving valuable data from the shocks and suspension components that they will test for us that will prove to be invaluable in our suspension development for 2006."
The Lovells join Fabtech's all-star team of off-road racers including 2005 Best in the Desert Champion Jesse Jones, Baja 1000 Champion Scott Steinberger, and fellow UROC Rockcrawling Champion Tracy Jordan. This creates a formidable rockcrawling team covering both the Modified and Super-Modified Classes. Team co-owner and spotter Roger Lovell noted, "We have a lot to live up to. We look forward to the opportunity in front of us and are interested to see what our competition brings to the rocks next season." The sponsorship news comes on the heels of a successful season for Team Lovell that was filled with growth. "I never would have guessed that we could have come so far. This started as a pastime and has become a profession. We're in it now, we have the support structure, and we're here to stay!"
The Lovell Brothers are busy constructing the 2006 Ford Ranger for debut at the Off-Road Impact Show in January. "Having Fabtech and Ford Motor Company behind our team has given us the opportunity to take things to the next level," said team driver, Brad Lovell. The Fabtech sponsorship will mean flashy new colors and graphics for the team. "A 2006 Fabtech Ford Ranger Rockcrawler? It's going to be awesome!" Fabtech joins other 2006 Lovell team sponsors including AMSOIL, BF Goodrich, Alloy USA and Art Carr Performance Products.
The 2006 rockcrawling season proves to be bigger and better than ever. The sport gets coverage on ESPN II, the Speed Channel and Spike TV. UROC has a network of man-made and natural courses in place for the upcoming six-event season. Other venues including WE-ROCK and XRRA continue to grow. The Lovell Team has its eyes set on a repeat UROC Pro Championship but will also branch out to explore other fun and exciting events.
Watch for updates from the team as well as 2005 UROC coverage on ESPN II starting Sunday, January 1st at 11:00am EST. The shows will air through the winter at generally the same time on Sundays. Please visit www.uroc.com for a complete schedule.
