i'd put an early 90's 110 pick up, against that hilux any day.

lux's are very popular in oz, but put some die hard fans in my 110 and they start to tell me how good it is compared to theres.

lux = chassis aren't as good, run the same size cv's, transfercase hanges below the rails, susspension is choppy as hell, they rust like no tomorrow.

rover = rear diff would be a sals 8ha, full time fwd, coils, blah, blah blah

that lux had a pretty good roll bar, so i'm guessing mechanicly a rover with roll hoop, of the same age and diesel would cope just the same.

and k.c is right, rovers are good for what they were designed = good work horse, good offroad, stock on 32's, compered to same types of vehicle but they have there limits....
