My rangie has always had a bias of about 1 inch in the front suspension. If you jack the truck up under the cross member, the axle will hang an inch lower on the left than on the right.
It looks like either one radius arm is tweaked (unlikely, but I only had one off at a time) or the front axle mounts have a bias in them.
Anyone else got a similar issue?

Its the panhard rod attachment that causes this. Under tension the travel can be forced to travel in equal amounts.

So if I unbolt one end of the panhard rod it should even out?
Since you guys are mostly LHD (with a reversed panhard to me), does the right side hang lower (by 1-2 inches) if you jack it off the ground?
See mine was built LHD (saudi arabian market) then converted by a dodgy dealer to RHD. I'm wondering if they screwed up one of the radius arm mounts when fabricating the new panhard bracket (front axle now has two panhard brackets).

I believ all axles have two panhard brackets from factory. Or do I remember wrong?

It appears they do.
Looks like I've gotta rip a radius arm off my parts truck to see what's really up.

Yes If jacked up as you described the right side will hang 1-2 inches lower.

Aye newer axles are mulit handed i.e LHD or RHD, so how old is the motor? if its pre 300tdi then they are LHD or RHD not both. give me the axle number and I can tell you if its been modded.

Mine is a 1985 BA series. I also have a 1988 parts truck HA series with both panhard brackets.
On my 1985, the right hand swivel has the extra forward facing draglink arm (as you'd expect from an ex-LHD truck) but it also has visible camber on the RHF wheel.
Is there supposed to be extra camber in the RH cap or has something been bent by a previous owner?

My 84 has the panhard brackets on both sides.

Dougal,
You might also check that the U-joint yokes on the front drive shaft are not binding on full droop.
BA and HA are all multi handed to clarify the earlier post, at into of MA chassis there was a number of supercessions that reduced the number of diffrent casings listed in the range suported at that time.
