you'll find adam that there are a lot of differences between the power generation cummins and the automotive cummins. You are going to be spending some money on transmission adapters, I think the turbo is in a different place on a lot of them, I think if it's intercooled (some are some aren't) the piping if completely different, the mounts they use can't be adapted for vehicular use, ect ect. I looked at a couple of gen set engines from the military for a long time for my cummins swap and it ended up that there was so much that needed to be changed for it to work in a truck that I passed although you did get a little better deal than I was going to. (I think I was looking at 800 shipped for a 6bt with 1000 hrs if I remember correctly) Best of luck and if you have some questions about the engine itself let me know I am sure I can help
