In the bible it shows D-600 and D-700.

My question is this:

Does a 1992 Dodge W-350 SRW 4x4 Truck have the correct internal style hubs or are they external and/or a completely different hub?

This may not be much help but.

If it has a cummins in it it probabley has a D61 not a D60.

The difference is:
From what I've read here the D61 is actually a heavier casting(thicker)the pinion is offset to allow for gearing such as 3.07 so normal D60 gears won't work without mixing and matching parts and spacers.

The DRW fronts have selector trac external hubs.Not sure of the SRW though.

Could have either. Ive got some from a DODGE and a Chevy, both set are internal, and look identical.

Not positive but I think the D61's were mainly in 89'-91' trucks.I recently bought a 92' D250 CTD and it had a D60 with internal hubs.

the dana 61 was used when the gears you have are 3.07 up too 3.31, 3,55 and up would be the dana 60. my friends 92 2500HD ( with the cummins ) has 4.10 in his 60/70 external hubs, jason.

it seems that up to and including '89 dodges had external hubs (SRW or DRW), in '90 it could have been either, and '91-'93 had internal. just from what I've read on the intArnet/seen in real life.
the lockouts on the external hubs were Selectros.
as far as i know, D60 vs. D61 does not affect what kind of hubs the axle will have. it only affects the gears/centersection.
