dana 35's are just plain scarry... i broke my 35 way back in the day on 33's.. if you want bigger tires, id invest in a 44 rear end or at the very least, a good full floater kit, so that when you snap a c clip, your whole axleshaft and wheel doesnt go rolling away!!

IMO, max tire sizes for a D30/D35 combo are 32's with a 6 cylinder and 33's with a 4 banger. Anything bigger is begging for breakage. Serious off-roading with a D30/D35 is asking for breakage. If you have this combo (like me) you should be planning and saving for a future axle swap.

Max tire size is 35" and even then you will have to be careful. If you are not a good driver you won't be able to run 35s on a D35. 33s are a safe bet as long as you don't abuse your rig. Some people have to adapt their rigs to their driving style, some people can adapt their driving style to their rigs. When you can nurse your D35 and still hit everything that the guys with D44 and D60s are climbing (within reason) then thats impressive. You will be that much better for it too if you ever upgrade your tires and axles.
