My buddy has a GC and last night he called me over because his jeep sounds like it is starving for gas. We cleaned the inside of the throat on the TBI unit and cleaned the (3?) sensors (inside connectors) just in case. I own Toys, so I have no idea what i am looking for. Anyway, it started but still sounds like it needs fuel. Also, he said he swapped in a new fuel filter and had the fuel pump changed out 2 years ago. Do these pumps last long? And it is located in the fuel tank, how do you check it? It is the V8.Sorry, long post.

When did he do the filter? The gas only flows one way so maybe he put it on backwards. Turn the key on and listen for the fuel pump to turn on.

I should have looked at the fuel filter but it was dark last night on HWY 92. Anyway, I will have him check it later. And he changed it 2 days ago. Not sure if it was original. Could the sensors be bad, especially the one that regulates air/fuel?
