I have had my scout in the shop fer like 3 1/2 weeks now getting the ring and pinion done
I guess thats the bad thing about a friend doing them for you and for free on his spare time
plenty of time fer:beer: though

Yup. That's what you get for not doing it yourself, I guess. :D Eventually you'll get fed up and get on his case about it. Maybe you should hang out when he gets around to doing it so that you can do it yourself next time? It's not that hard to set up gears, just have to pay attention and be patient.
Oh, and.......

i know I cant wait to have the 4.89 in there
front is in now and the back isnt even started yet but should be quicker

I just happend to go into harbor freight today after work and bought me a dial indicator and magnetic base for $30 so I could set up my own R&P.
Here's a link to Randy's Pinon website which has the instructions and set up specs for most rear ends.
