what tranny was origionally behind your bell housing?
Are you serious?
:shaking head:
Get a T15 bellhousing, and bolt up the NP435.
Then send me the $300 you saved by not using an AA part.

Piece of cake depending on which bellhousing you have.

i have a 401 and a t-18... get the t-18 and keep the bellhousing from the 401. then get the short input shaft and bearing retainer and remove the spacer you are good to go. oh yeah the input shaft and bearing retainer are only like $150. problem solved

don't you mean a t150? also a t176 4 speed bell housing works. both use the ford butterfly pattern and a t-18 or the np435 will bolt right up.

yah... T150. typo--- my bad.
this is about as trivial a tranny swap as you get in a Jeep.

last time i checked, a t18 would bolt up to the same bellhousing as a t15
i'll get pics if i ever rip my t15 outta my cherokee

Not only both of those but if you can wield a drill:rolleyes: just about any late '70's mid '80's one will work. Now those that don't need to drill give Mo $300 and the boring types give me $100:flipoff2:
