: Tube diameter of a 9"?

We gotta track down some Ubolts for Ry's 9" but forgot to measure. :rolleyes: . Just need the tube diameter at the perches. Thanks.

3.125...(at least, that's what my old 60 had...and Matt and I had the same u-bolts on the rear)

3.125" -- I just measured one I have in the back of my shop.

INTERESTNIG.... I mic'd a dana 60 a couple days ago and it was 3.125". The ford 9 I mic'd was 3.25"...

I htought we measured Ryans at 3.25 as well. I have heard something before about 9" having 2 different tube widths???

the 9" w/ 3.150 o.d. bearings w/ .500 retaining bolts are 3.250:smokin:

Either way..they don't make a 3.125 u-bolt so buy some 3.25" ones....:smokin:

my 9" was 3.25, my 60 is 3.5"...

I just thought of this: I think the early style non triangulated housings are 3 inch. the later style are what I refer to at 3.25"
