I posted this on the Jeep Board also, but alot of you don't go thier so I put it here as well:

Allright fawkers, I did a search but did not find the answer to this.

When doing a front 3 link with a Trackbar, and one of the larms being a Y (only one UCA that is mounted to the LCA), where do you put the Y arm in relation to the Trackbar? On the axle mount side or the body mount side?

Hope that is not confusing. I was just wondering if anyone has some exp with this and knows if one position binds more than the other.

Thanks

It doesn't matter it theoretically doesn't bind either way if you have heim joints or johnny joints or whatever. You should put the y arm or radius arm on the side closest to the diferential so your driveline angles stay within the working range of the ujoints when/if you articulate lots and have a fairly short front driveshaft.

Thanks Gordon,

This is what I was thinking as well, but I just wanted to check and see if the location of the TB played any significant role.
