I am a Zuk newbie (Have Chevys and a Scout). Just bought an 87 an want to get started. I bought a adapter and a GM 1 wire alternator. Anyone know how to handle the wiring? Thanks in advance.

The white wire from the GM pigtail splices into the white/red stripe wire from the OEM connector (cut the connector off). The red wire connects to the battery connection. The remaining wire from the OEM connector is not used and can be capped. This is how I did mine. If in doubt, see Figmo's article on the GM alt. install on his Roadless Gear web site......

I got the wheelin bug back in 1987. So I may be a newbie to the board but...:flipoff2: The first time I used a computer you had to feed in a stack of punch cards, so that should date me a little. I appreciate the info though. My alternater is a one wire set-up ,so I guess I just run the one wire to the battery. I was wondering what to do with the oem wires that I will disconnect form the Sammi alternator.

P.S.- anyone have one of those outdated 4:1 t-cases they want to part with?

Hey mud-magnet, I don't quite get your reply. But hey, that won't stop me from winching you out if I see you stuck.
