Can anyone tell me what transfer box will adapt to go on an NV4500 gearbox.
I haven't got the box yet but I am hoping to get a GM one as the engine is GM (6.5 V8 Deisel). Ideally I want part time but with fulltime capability so that when driving round back roads that seem a bit dicey or icy I can just put it in 4 whell drive and forget about it.
IF I'm honest, though I'd like to claim I'm a hard core every minute I can offroader, the vehicle will be used mostly on the pavement for daily driving and touring but will at times go exploring off road, though this will be done with consideration for vehicle and passengers, so no racing across multi ruts or jumping gorges, more like sedate clambering. This is going to be my only vehicle so it's got to do everything from getting me to work and back or taking my dolled up girlfriend to her gigs with all her equipment (don't get too excited, she's a singer) to visiting my mother in Ireland and exploring any interesting track, quarry, rock field or forest I can find. So the kind of use if descibed as moderate is referring more to the style of driving rather than the type of terrain I might attempt to traverse. As I say I wish to sedately clamber over absolutely anything that's put in front of me though I am unlikey to be doing any extreme rock crawling.
Thanks Guy
