OK...I was going to buy some warn dana 30 stubs with the 297 joints to use my dana 30 outers on my dana 44 in order to keep the bolt pattern and my rebuilt brakes and new hubs.
A local jeep guy said he would sell me some "German" dana 44 stubs that would work the same way. I take it this means that they are 27 spline and work with dana 30 brakes, spindles,etc.
I mailed him back and said I would take them but now he does not respond to my mails.
What is this guy talking about...does anybody have them?

Never heard of German D44 stubs, but you can also use Scout D44 stubs.

The guy who wanted to sell me these told me straight out that scout stubs would not work with the dana 30 rotars and spindles and knuckles.

Never heard of "German" axles, but he's full of shit telling you the Scout ones won't work. They will work and I know of many in use. This is from the Warn axle chart, obviously the same applies for stock stuff too...

OR if you do go with Warn outers you can have your spindles bored to a 1.350" inside diameter to make room for the extra meat and go with 30 spline outers...

Scout outers WILL work, helped my freind swap in scout axles and we used the CJ brakes.

What do you use for hubs with those stubs? Does Warn make a 30 spline bolt on hub?
