I swapped the D35 for a D44 from a 2004 Rubicon. I have the air pump.
Questions:
1) I've heard that this axle is limited slip when unlocked. Is this true and thus requires the additive when changing the diff oil?
2) Other than above the stock belly skid position, where is a good place to mount the pump. I do not have the stock pump bracket from the donor vehicle.

1. Yes, and no. It's a Torsen differential, not a clutch type limited slip. No friction modifier is required. Most synthetic diff fluids have the friction modifier in them. It won't hurt if it does.
2. Fab a bracket and mount it in the stock location behind the transfer case (but move it higher towards the body) or mount it under the hood.

I put my pump under the hood on the empty battery (?) tray on the drivers side. I wasnt tieing mine into the tcase so I wanted them up and out of the way.
I like the battery tray idea (wiring is short), but the air liines will be pretty long to the rear. How did you route them?

I followed the hard brake line that runs along the frame to the back of the Jeep. Just zipped it loose enough not to pinch the line and tight enough not to move much. I grabbed a bunch of hose from TSC or the auto store, dont remember which, but it was pretty cheap.
Belated thanks for frostytj. I installed the pump as suggested and routed the vacuum line along the brake line. Looks/works great.
