I know this is about as newb of a question ever, but can anyone give me a website that has a list of the regulations a car has to have to be street legal. I am intersted in heighth of vehicle, width, and how much the tire can stick past the fender if at all in the state of Nevada. Thanks...

I did google search it, but so far only lift restrictions. That doesn't really answer all my question :/. And... does the measurement given on your link reflect from the ground to the bumper or 24 inches from the ground.. because 24 inches from the ground is like nothing when you think of pickups and what not.

yes, they measure from the ground. Virginia does the same thing. Virginia also requries that the wheels and tires be covered. That would probably be more of a law vs. the actual width of the axle. most axle width restrictions deal with weight per inch vs. actual "how wide is it".
I've also been trying to find more information about making my buggy street legal.
So far I know the following:
I have to have a windshield.
I can't be more than 24" off the ground to my bumpers.
I need head lights, tail lights, and blinker lights.
I can run bead-locks.
What I don't know is:
Do I have to have fenders?
Do I have to have bumpers?
Can I run full hydro-steering?
I've asked about fenders when I asked about bead-locks. They didn't really say anything except, "as long as rocks aren't flying out at other drivers..."
I just found some more info:
Nevada
Height of head lamps must be at least 24” but no higher than 54”.
Taillights must be at least 15” but no more than 72”.
Reflectors must be at least 15” but no more than 60”.
Lowest portion of body can not exceed: 24” for passenger cars, 28” for vehicles up to 4500 lbs., 30” for 4501-7500 lbs.; 32” for 7501 – 10000 lbs.

Hey thanks pk we will have to keep eachother postes as we find new info on nevada street legalness. I still wonder what the fender restrictions are. The other day I saw a lifted suburban on prorock 60s and 40-44inch boggers. It was the most useless high COG piece of crap I ever saw but some people are in to the bling. Anyway this guy passed three police officers and didnt get pulled over. I supremely doubt he had any coverage at all on the stuff he was running. Would be interested to know if full hydro steering is legal as well. I know that hydro assists are, but dunno about full hydro. Don't see why not... I hope more people join in on this because I would hate to go ahead with things like full width axles, full hydro steering, and tube fenders and not get away with it as passing the regs.

List of laws, by State (http://bbb.quadratec.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=39;t=006810)
I think that may be sort of what you are looking for.
I still wonder what the fender restrictions are.
I don't think there is any restrictions. I've seen buggies on the highway in Reno. No fenders at all. Not even flaps.

So.... it seems after reading that huge list provided in the link (thank you for that one) that running full widths, beadlocks, and fullhydro is A okay for street legalness hahahaha god is anything illegal. It seems that only way youd get caught is if you drove a UFO.
