Drum brake US Cruisers all had course spline Birfs.

76 and up are fine spline.

You are out of luck!

Time to find a newer axle, this way you get disc brakes too.

I plan on doing the minitruck conversion, but i ahve everything but spindles and birfields and was hoping to kill two birds with one stone by getting the PU birfs as longfields right away. I guess that might not work... anyone got spare birfs for the PU fe? spindles?
thanks

Can I use 60 series spindles with course spline Birfields? If not; why not? I have lots of CS Birfields and was going to use them with a 60 series DBC.

VERY good idea....just suck up the core charge. You will be happy that you did later for sure.

At around $60 per core I would say just do it. The cost savings is really not worth it...
