Here are a few photos from Socorro New mexico. We had a great time and will be going back. I did get a little carnage though I will post pics of it in another post thoiugh. On the last obstical, I gave it 3/4 to full throttle in 1st gear and hit my right rear tire pretty hard on an under cut ledge taller than my tires. I made it up to the top, and the right rear portal gears decided they were done. And fell back off the ledge. So, we removed the shaft and gear, and drove out in 3 wheel drive. Sorry mostly pics of Frankenrovers 110, but I do have a good short vid if I can get it hosted.
PS, the rover does have mog axles if you were wondering

damn two wheeling trips and two portal boxes guess you do need those upgrade boxes. Cool to see them both out

edit guess it wasn't the boxes just the gears. Some pics of the carnage would be cool. Finally broke the baby mog took long enough

All gears, no box. So far the case seems to be in perfect shape. Im thinking the gears need some treating. Not sure what will fix the problem, but it sure doid take me a long time to break this one.
As I said, I will post up pics. I really can only post the spur gear for now, because the main gear is still in the case, and the case is on the truck in the driveway. Guess i gotta save up for some gears before chilli challenge.
Oh, but the propane worked great.

holy shit, I grew up in socorro, where is that trail, I will have to hit it up when I go home. Also, New Mexico Tech has a rock crawling group, you might hit them up for some more trails. Looks like fun :D

the BLm has gifted a large parcel of land NE of town for OHV recreation. TONS of new trails out there that are flat nasty.

I rarely have enough notice myself. Were so busy its kinds a spur of the moment thing. But now that we know where it is, we will go more often.
If it helps Nate, that was black trail# 66 on your map. The big problem with the trail we ran, is that it looks like with a years worth of real traffic, it will become pretty flat and soon be a moderate trail. I rate this trail a hard+ trail in a mild built truck. When I think extreme, I want to feel like I should curl up in the fetal position.
