I was up hitting the snow trails, I got stuck and was trying to get myself out and I lost all my forward gears but still had rev. and 4wd in rev but nothing forward, any body know whats wrong? I got a 5.4lt and what ever tranny goes with it, please let me know, it still stuck on the trail.

Sounds to me like its time for a new tranny. I got stuck once with my '99 F150 with the 5.4 and was rocking it hard and lost 1st gear and over drive. Its nothing that about 1500 dollars can't fix :(

it could be a few different things. that are not so disasterous.
but if the fluid is trashed, then you can stick a fork in it cause that fawker is done.
i cant do l.ine tests from here so you have to take it to a shop. did you get any codes?

Well it's prolly the light duty 4R70w, (trans code U on the door jam sticker) and if you cooked the fluid you cooked the tranny good. Might have the heavier duty 4R100, (trans code E) which can still be cooked and costs more to rebuild.
