: Well, they've been out a while, who's got 'em?

I'm speaking of the Interco Super Swamper Trxus MT. They look like a tighter version of the SSR. Anyone know anything about tread compound, wear, performance in mud, in rocks, street, sidewall strength, etc.? I'm living in Colorado this summer (in Estes Park, near Boulder), so I need a tire that's very good in the rocks, but I'm driving it there from NC, so it has to be decent on the highway, too. Also, it'll need to be able to handle the mud of NC and VA when I get back. I have Eldorado ZRTs right now and love them, but if the Swampers are better, I'll get them. My main concern about the Eldo's is the sidewall strength. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanx!

I'm running TruXus on my DD. I have about 10K on them and I'm impressed with them on and off road. They are a great snow tire and have done some deep mud with my pizza cutter 235/85-16s. They will see some rocks this summer and I'm sure I'll be happy.

my buddy has a set on his '96 z71. they lasted about 30k mostly interstate miles. he liked them, BUT don't expect any kind of supior mud performance. they preformed about the same as a set of BFG A/T ko's. if your looking for a good on/offroad tire, i would recommend the SSR's. they will last forever and give the traction your looking for. be carefull though, i had one almost blow up on me. :D

my bud did order a second set, so i'm assuming he was pleased.

So, you're saying that they perform more like an all-terrain and that any mud-terrain would be better? Sorry, just kinda confused about your post.

here is a link to a review on the TrXus that a friend of mine did:

I personally would rather run Swamper Radials, but thats my opinion.

I believe Four Wheel Parts Wholesale carries the Trxus.
But personally I would call Interco and find other vendors, IMO 4WPW customer service sucks, and too many retards that don't know anything about wheeling working there.
By the way if sidewall strength is an issue I would steer clear of SSR's

SSR's lasting for ever??? Hahahaha. They start chewing up after 10k, you'll be lucky to get 20k out of them. The LTB's are a more aggressive tread pattern, how can they perform like an AT KO??? I think your getting some bunk info!!! The LTB's are a great tire, they wont last over 15k, still a great mud/rock tire.

Dumbass - TrXus and LTB are not the same tire

yeah, i am too, now. i only read the first part of your post about the TRxUS and based my post on that. my friend does have the TRxUS and likes them. i've road in his truck when they had both the BFG's and TRxUS and they performed almost identical. i cannot compare them to the ZRT's though b/c i've never experienced those tires.

was wheeling last weekend @Elbe and there was a 4dr Chickoree sportin' a set of the TRxUS's, he did pretty good untill he got stuck in a pretty deep mud pit and his 8274 ended up ripping his arb front bumper off his rig:eek: I would've killed for a camera:grinpimp: IMO I'd say that they appeared to perform as well if not better than the rig with mud t/a's.

Wasn't FWPW I was thinking of that had them available, although they might.
It was Tyres International http://www.tyres1.com

I've never dealt with them but I'm sure someone has.
