: Carb GOD
MOTORRAD 01-10-2006, 12:24 AM It has been a while, But I remember hearing of a guy that was a stock carb god. I am tired of the 2BBL holly, and hope with one of the 4 stock carbs I have around he can work his magic. Anyone have a contact number, or email?
Thanks.

Is the Holley a Model 2300? If you REALLY hate it, send it to me ;)
Cheers,
Bill.
Campy 01-10-2006, 07:20 AM Mark aka 65SWB45 is great. Although I've never dealt w/ Jim, I can say Mark knows his stuff. He's prompt and thorough. Give him a call.
Thanks again Mark for your awesome work,
Campy

NORCALFJ40 01-10-2006, 09:28 AM Get a 2bbl motorcraft 2100 series, off a 70 bronco, you can order one at autozone, under the rebuild name champion. for $115 ,bad ass angle and high altitude carb. me and my boys swear by them.
peesalot 01-10-2006, 09:31 AM I'll thow in my bump for Marky Mark. Just don't let him put his patented rainbow sticker on it.
MOTORRAD 01-10-2006, 12:06 PM Anyone know if they do anything "magic" to the carbs. Or do they just rebuild them? If they do somthing magic, does anyone know what it is? I would much rather go through them myself. I shot an email to Jim to see if he will tell me what he does....
-Dave.
peesalot 01-10-2006, 12:28 PM search 65swb45 posts , lots of pics and details on special details.
DHONDAGOD 01-10-2006, 01:36 PM the only "magic" on a carb overhaul is having an understanding of exactly what holes relate to what circuit and knowing exactly how they interrelate to each other. also, patience and an attention to detail. this in my opinion is the difference between a rebuilder who can take apart and put back together and a carb god who can take it apart, see whats wrong or identify potential problems and know how to correct them... i have no personal experince with jim chennowith but mark is very good...

Campy 01-10-2006, 02:40 PM Motorrad, I was once in your position. Let me try to be a young voice of reason, Don't waste your time. I tried to first do the rebuild myself before I sourced it out to Mark. My first rebuild that I did went great. Then a year went by, something was wrong again, so I tried it again. NO SOUP FOR ME:shaking: . It failed. I bugged Mark for a while on the phone exhausted his long patience level, then realized the money was better spent sending it to a pro. He made some huge discoveries on my carb, tweeked a few things, got it back and WHAMO, works like a G*D D@MN CH@MP. Note my sig, I'm on a budget, but even my wife agrees that was the best money I ever spent on that stinken motor. Give him a call, he didn't dissapoint me.
