On TLC, just watch a thing on 4wheel drives vehicles. Just showed to modded JF80's crossing the antartica. First and probably only vehicles to do it. Pretty sweet.
Showed how they would re-mounted a tire if it popped off the bead(obviosly they didn't know about bead locks at the time.). They would spray starter fluid inside the tire, then light it. Poof, fully inflated tire.

If you go the the Arctic Trucks web site and hop over to the logs of the trip to Antarctica and plot out the GPS coordinates, you'll find they didn't actually do a whole lot of driving. Basically unloaded the trucks at the port, drove about 200 miles south then turned around and came back. The trip logs have a few funny parts, though. The truck drivers are griping about how slow the tracked support vehicles are.

Seems TLC likes to embelish their stories a little. I like how the Hummer can go through deep water because it has a snorkle to keep water out of the carb!
I immensly enjoyed the beginning of the show with the pretty Jeeps on 33s gettin' it. :flipoff2:

Yup..I did that to mount my SX's and it was quite fun :D I had troubles getting them to go at first, but then I used more fluid and BOOM!! they were mounted.

I really liked the part when they showed how much a heep can do, but if you're not careful you can get over your center of balance and roll (of course they showed a Toy and a Bronco - no heep rolling)

I think that's the same show I saw a few years ago... Kool stuff for sure... Just mounted 3 trailer tires like that sunday night...Fun stuff when you can use explosives to fix truck stuff...
Someone needs to get ahold of that "Junkyard Wars" producer-guy that was posting here for a while... Have him hook up a new show of nothing but crawling. Kind of an addition to the Artic show, but only on Rocks... :D

Cool show but "we" have been doing that around here A LONG TIME. Thats also how we reseat the monster tires on the rim after they blow a bead. Works excellent for mounting new tractor tires too. :D

Hope they show it again, I started watching it about half way through. They made it only 200 miles? that is too bad.
