after popping the head off my rod knockin turbo motor we noticed that there was NO carbon anywhere in the thing, all 4 pistons were nice and clean, the head was clean valves too!
i'm kinda thinking that this was caused by it being to lean when i would get into it, and could possibly be part of the reason the motor got hot whenever you put a load on it...
how do i bump it a bit for cheap!

up the fuel pressure and/or cross referance an injector that is SLIGHTLY larger

hmmm, dave, what are you smokin man? Do you know how a motor even works?
Ok, first off, if that motor was lean, here is what you would have.. Tons of pre-detonation, and more than likely burnt electrodes on the plugs, or even scorage on the cylinder walls, or the pistons with signs of melting..
Now the second issue, that motor sat for how long?? the carbon has a tendancy to loosen after a long period of time, and them be blown/burnt easily
Another way carbon is removed is by a foreign substance, like water/coolant..
Now, I am not saying upping your fuel pressure will do much(Try playing wit hte AFM first) good or not, but thats not what caused that.

The cheap and easy way to get a little richer mixture is to adjust the AFM and "fool" the motor. Jeff Moskovitz outlines how to do this on his site (http://www.well.com/user/mosk/AFM1.htm).
The 22RTE uses low impedance, peak and hold injectors. Stock is 295 cc/min but you can get some 430 cc/min injectors out of a 7MGTE Supra motor. Make sure to get the connectors too as you may have to change them out. You definitely won't be running lean anymore. :D

You should'nt have a carbon buildup........especially if you drive the fawker hard enough!........I'd put another 22r right next to it then your getting close!:flipoff2:

Pulling the vacum line off the FPR will get you an extra 10lbs of fuel pressure
