what does everyone do with thier pcv?
my buddy, (snap on dealer) said that summit has a kit that runs a tube from the valve cover down to the collector on the exhaust, i dont understand why that is better then just slapping on a reather filter, but he said the breather filter wasnt the best way of doing it.
anyone got an opinion? right now ive got the stock pc valve hooked to a vacume line, and a breather filter on the other. should it be left as is, do breathers on both covers, or do the exhaust mod?

Leave it alone, doesn't hurt anything.

does anyone have a wordy reason towards what works best?

race engines with large cams dont produce much or any vacuum but need more than a breather on the valve cover to vent the crankcase. tapping into the exhaust vents the crankcase by using the exhaust pressure. often these vents are run on boths sides of the engine.

Personally I like the stock setup on the TBI motors, instead of having an seperate breather filter, there is a hose that taps into the air cleaner spacer (between the throttle body and the air cleaner housing). One less filter to maintain.

NO vacuum interesting , thinking that they are trying to remove the slightly oil saturated crankcase air pressure from the intake tract. Plus the vacuum from the exhaust collector would be quite strong. Higher RPM motor could possibly have more crank windage making the crankcase pressure even more saturated. For everyday driver or trail rig use the PCV. Anybody have any more thoughts?

This setup was the hot ticket until someone figured out how to make a smog pump pull vacuum from the crankcase and it helped to seal the rings=more power

What stroker? 305 to 334 or a 350 to 383 or 350 to 392? 400 to 377? what kind of brake problems? a .480 lift cam in a large stroker is not really much depending on the duration and induction system. if its a big block, .:D 480 is just gettin started:cool2:
