Just removed my Scout II D44'd and put my new D60/ 14 bolt srw under my 69 Scout 800 and they stick out alot!! I'm running H2 wheels, 39.5x15x17 so the backspacing will at least help a bit. I'd post pics but have'nt figured it out yet. Rick

It'll grow on you. What is the H2 backspacing anyway? :smokin:

I like the way you set up the back with the tube and cut fenders. Did you do the front too?

yeah ditto on the fenders i'm going to have to do something like that on my up coming build. Hijack off like pontiac used to say, wider is better, if you don't like rolling anyways

I'm running Scout II Traveller leafs front and rear. The front is shackle reverse and the rear springs are outboarded.

My 60/14 came from a cucv, the 14b is around 2" narrower than the 60 on each side. I'd like to narrow one side of the front by 4" or so or maybe get another set of wheels with a deeper offset for the front.

Looks hot dude...

Full width still on the 60 right? Looks better than my width with those H2's. I have been looking for a pic with an 80/800 with full width and H2's....

Thanks.

Now cut those fenders up and rock it...

The rear looks the same width as the other pics. As you can see the 60F seems to be the only one that's wider. Are you going to run it that wide?

BTW, You need some more tubing supports in the back of your cage.

Hammered Scout
01-14-2006, 05:37 PM
Believe me it's wider, they stick out a good 6". The old D44's with 15x10's with 4" backspace 35x12.5 tires used to tuck the fender. I'm definetly gonna run them full width.

Bringing this one back from the dead... I was digging around to see if you had a build thread and this was the closest I found. Hammerd Scout, do you have pics/details about the build up? I really like the way your Scout looks and I like the 4BT option as well. :smokin: I see you had a 350, then swapped in the 4BT?

Please sir,can I have some more [pics]? What radiator did you use? Aftercooler/Intercooler? I've heard turbo Saab and/or turbo Volvos are a good source for a small intercooler if space is tight.
