I have desided that Im gonna go down to pick and pull and get a turbo off of a volvo to try and put on my samurai, the only question I have is I have heard that you can't just put boost into a carb because it wont allow the fuel to come out of the jets. Well I have seen some setups that don't use an equelizer box, I am asuming that If I run a low amount of boost that I can get away with it.

Are you planning on blow through or draw through..?
Stock carb won't work..

I was planning on blow through, I was hoping that I could make the stock carb work, or maybe a weber, If I cant do it easy enough I will just wait till I do propane

No experience with the stock carb and boost, but the main problems with doing a blowthrough hat on a carb is the need to increase fuel pressure delivery otherwise you'll run your bowls empty - and leaks. You'll end up blowing fuel out of all kindsa crazy places you never thought could leak.. not sure if the stock carb has sealed throttle blade shafts or not..
Always worth a try - don't think the fuel delivery problem will be an issue with only a few pounds of boost - and so what if it leaks a little fuel?

You talkin like 2 or 3 lbs? Cause I was hoping for 5 or 6

For a blow through youll need a by fuel pass regulator with a 1:1 boost/fuel ratio. And I high pressure pump.

You could probably bolt any carb as a draw through since its sucking the air (lowering pressure) after the Jets. Not recomended since you cant use a Intercooler, lag, and puddleing fuel also detonation will mostlikly be a problem since no intercooling.
Webers apparently can handle 6-7lbs boost as a blowthrough from what I hear with out modding it anything more and youll need to fill the float(or get brass) and change a bunch or seals. I havent tried it yet though. Iv pieced everything together for going FI with a MS (Just haven goten around to building it) still screwing with the 3/4 ton axles I need to finish installing

Jegs has Timing boost retard units too MSD. You might get away with just retarding the timing a bit though.

How cheap are used webers, I've never really looked into them

Why risk a good motor and a sweet turbo setup on a sub-standard fuel system?

Well I was gonna get the turbo and parts from the junk yard, and if I blew my motor that would just give me motovation to do the Swift swap Ive been wanting to do, which can handle some rear boost:cool2:

I would suggest boosting a Swift motor and not wasting you time and money on a carb/turbo set up.

The thing is, is if I have a good set up on my sami motor I can swap the intake right over and the exast will bolt up with some mods, Untill I can wire the FI or buy propane:grinpimp:
