Hey, i'm looking for a reservoir to hold the overflow from the radiator. this might seem like a stupid question but jegs/summit/jaz all sell little tanks that they call overflow tanks and others that they call catch cans and they appear to be the same thing. it would seem to me that a radiator overflow tank would need a vent but they don't advertise them as having a vent ? am i wrong...

Catch can, overflow tank, puke tank, whatever, most of them have vents but I have seen some semi-pressurized plastic tanks under the hoods of some late-model production cars. To save $$ just use a plastic drink bottle for a resevoir. you can get them in lots of sizes and it isnt that hard to find somewhere to attach them under the hood then just run a line from the rad to the bottle and drop it down into the bottle with a little bit of antifreeze in the bottom of it, so it wont suck air and youre done.
Its not quite as durable of as permanent as the summit ones but its just as effective. Good luck
