Here is another. This guy (Rich Rienart) is from AZ and was in our area so he stopped by to talk about his SSII he wants SOA. We utilized him to help mount the 170 lb tires. I think he liked it!:D

Are you using spacers or custom centers..?
What size tire?
Looks Good!

Oh, yeah. Specs...

First, the first-rate bob job was the product of Tera-izer. SWEET job and even got rid of some of the rust and *nasties* in the back. Take your standard Scout II and subtract 18" - perfect body work as well.

Here are the specs - 76ish Scout II, rusted to the core. 345, tf272, D300. Headers, Jacobs, 4bbl. HighAngle's T-case E-brake 1-ton CV rear, front 1-ton RockCrawler shaft (GREAT WORK JESSE).

Front: SOA with RS, Revolvers (read 'stupid things'), Full Width D60, 5.13, ARB, X-Over steering w/ tie-rod & draglink above - 1.5" DOM tube.

Rear: 4-link quarter elliptic (2" lower link, 1.5" uppers), Our 1/4 Elliptic conversion, 3/4" alloy rod ends, custom Alcan spring packs, Corp 14 w/ 5.13 & Detroit.

Custom cage w/ AtariBars (my personal anarchy sign), door bars, dash bar, shortened rear spreaders, swing up tire mount (bed = 43", tire = 42"), Fuel cell protection.

Tires: SuperSwamper TSL 42x15x16.5 on Hummer dual beadlocks (painted with engine paint - ) Custom 1.5" wheel spacers (made out of 1.5" Armor plate - man our machinist hates us) make them stick out just right.

On a side note, Jesse (High angle) provided a mount for the D300 that fits the long-shaft Jeep 300s. although it bolted on, it was too long for the Scout 300. We gave him a measurement and he kicked out a new mounting bracket to fit the Scout D300. It was perfect. Just a special thanks to Jesse and the guys at High angle for setting us up ~ great work and a great way to make things right ~ as he always does.

Anyway, I've got tons of pictures, if anyone wants to see anything in particular, let me know and I'll attach a picture or two.

Not this time. He was on business this trip in Denver (Analyst for the drug company's) ~ his meetings ended early so he took the hour trip south and visited us.

We made sure that he stay'd pretty clean (silk tie's love grease)So he helped hand tools to us, held things, and kicked the tires to get them on the spacers (talk about 170 lb tires, freek they don't like sliding sideways).

that set up has served MANY people quite well for many years... and there's nothing wrong with the tube bumper.... not *my* personaly taste, but not that bad.

jeese your becoming jaded.. if it doesn't have 60's and 38+" tires... it must be crap.

Hey Damian,
What did you guys do fender-wise? Did you leave the stock fenders in place? Or tubbed? Whats goin on with it... VERY nice by the way.... its got me re-inspired to finish the Rubber Ducky.... Thanks... I needed that!

Hey Matt! ~

Havent heard from you in a while. Still didn't get any pictures of *ducky*.

The fenders are stock, the owner wouldn't let me cage-frame the rear (something about being able to eat his lunch on the tailgate  ). But really, the bed is all stock. The tires will easily fit up in the bed, but we have to install some bump stops and such to keep the 42s from self clearancing themselfs.

On the front, the inner rockers were removed and we simply trimmed the front fenders about 1-2" above the original lip, the rear part of the fender (between the wheel and door) was sloped back a touch for added clearance and tire movement.

Hope that helps.

Call it dumb luck or experience w/ proper placment but here is the front suspension (extended side). The revolver, brake line, and Rancho 9012 are all at their limits. The shock stops first (as not to overextend the brake line), the brake line is pulled 1" from limit and the Revolver is pretty much where it needs to be.

Here is the oposite side of the same flex shot - does that make sence? Anyway, here is the compressed side. The 9012 is pretty much completely collapsed (1" from totally compressed). Bump stop is about to be touched.

I wouldn't have even put it on if the owner didn't insist. Needless to say, we are sending him away with a spare shackle *just in case* it breaks. I would have done a Buggy or Cantilever in its place, but it only needs to stay till next year, then we get it back for coils.-:p

Ya, it VERY steep, but still works (can you believe it?) The shaft was build by HighAngle, Jesse hooks us up with good stuff. Pricey but worth it. We had to *clearance* a little bit out ;) but nothing to much...at least, it shouldn't break :D

This is the replacment for our Project 2 (Lil Mule). I take pictures like a freakin Japanese Tourist on the buildups. The directory with all the pictures is something I set up for customers so that they can see what's happening to thier rig *real* time.

No, we don't weld anymore. The only guy qualified to do it moved out of state. We now do the flat-top like everone else.

Yes, Actually we used our 3/8" shock tabs and 'threw' something together for the tire mount, it also swings up (like a hatchback) for tool/stuff storage underneath.
