well my problem is when i go to install my shafts it seems like the bearings arent seating far enough in the end of the housing. so when i go to put the plate on it isnt even close to the backing plate of the brakes. this is all going in a 76 EB rear but nothing is stock. im using both a currie housing and yukon shafts which were bought from broncograveyard.com

are you useing the sealed bearing on the axel shafts? if you are it will take a bit of fource to get them in there right, i useally use a hammer to get it in far anough then bolt it up and let the bolts push it in, after that hit it a few times to make sure it set in all the way and that the shaft spins.

if your useing the 2 peace bearings make sure the seals going in right, ive seen people bend the seals and caused this. if that happens you gotta pull the bearing off AGAIN and its a real pain
