Tube Front Clip

I've seen a post in the past where someone was asking about where he could purchase a tubed front fender grill assy. There was a shortcut to a website that sold them to where you just take off your fenders and grill, and it bolts on. I have searched for the past two days to find this post with no luck. I know I'm going to get flamed... but I need some help finding this site. Thank you.

I have purchased a few things from Scott... a cage, a couple of T-case buckets. Great guy to deal with, and he makes incredible products. Cage fit like a glove.

I really dont like that front clip.

I was looking through his site though; I might buy that cage! I got a friend who can weld well but I wouldnt really want him to build me a cage from scratch. We could weld up and install that cage easy'nuf though. Also that tcase bucket looks like a nice upgrade.... I need some $$$ :D

i really like the design of rockrats' design but living in iowa has anyone ever fabricated an innerfender well with the blade tube clip. xmattx

They bolt through the factory fender attachemnt holes. Option B add a tube to the frame.

Nice work. I really need to invest in a good tubing bender! Anyone have any more pictures of tubed front clips you've done? I'm looking to purchase one that I can just bolt on to my Samurai. I'm kinda interested in what alls available.

I don't have any pictures yet as it is still a work in progress but I have had fairly decent success with a harbor freight PIPE bender and beinging 1.5 ID Black Pipe for my tube front clip.

Once it is done, I'll post pics.

I bought the bender knowing full well that it was for PIPE and that PIPE would be strong enough for making my clip. PIPE was cheaper than DOM or HREW and in the case of a front clip it wasn't meant to be a safety feature like a cage so I felt more than comfortable in making it from PIPE. I'm building my flatbed from PIPE as well. I am using DOM for the cage.

Harbor Freight PIPE bender (http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/Displayitem.taf?itemnumber=32888) around $75 shipped when it was on sale. 4 - 6ft. sticks of 1.5" PIPE $40.00 2 - 3ft sticks of 1" pipe for the grille $8.00 os it has been cost effective.

Mine is also made of Pipe. 1 1/2" Shed40 bent with a 12 ton HF bender.

It is actually 3" wide diamond plate or checker plate that is welded at the edge and to the rockers. I also used #10x1/2" screws into the tub. The front clip is then welded into the plate and is also tied into the shock hoops.
