My copy of RAVE is for model year 1997. I'm trying to trace "pin 5"(tune resistor). It exits out for the ECU, goes through a hole above the transfer case, and then? Does this truck have a tune resistor? RAVE has a 1995 Disco and it shows "pin 5", but says "except NAS". The ECU is a 14CUX. Thanks Tim

Pin 5 is listed as the "Module coding plug" input.
If it's an NAS, it should have a tune resistor.
Pin 39 has an MFI ignition resistor (beats me as to what this is...

Where is the resistor? I just looked undeer the truck. There doesn't seem to be a break in the main harness. I'll check resistance with theECU disconnected.

Keep in mind that the ECU wiring runs across the bulkhead several times. No, it doesn't make sense, neither does warm beer and driving on the wrong side of the street.

Sorry I have a 1995 D-90. I just put in my WB O2 and was starting to check my AFR. Tim

OK, now your comment about proximity to the tranny makes sense!
The wiring harnesses on Defenders doesn't make THAT much more sense either:flipoff2:
I did some more research on the wiring of Lucas ECUs. The older Rangie FSMs are more enlightening than the FSM for the newer vehicles. This is curious as the wirin digrams for the body are worthless! Why they don't publish the relay control side of the circuits makes absolutely no sense!
