I'm looking for a cheap in-cab battery disconnect that will still allow a small amount of power to be sent to my head unit, so I don't lose all of my station presets....
Anyone know where to find one? I've checked Summit, but theirs cut off all power to everything....

maybe you will need to run a wire from your head unit directly to the bat., bypassing the cut off...

Thought about that, but I have my head unit wired into the factory harness with an adapter harness.... I don't feel like ripping the head unit out ( That 5 minutes to do it is so draining :D ). I've seen a couple with a bypass, but they mount right on the battery post. I'm looking for one that will mount inside with the bypass. Guess it would be easy enough to just make one...

I have also seen guys run a full disconnect and a lead with a 5amp fuse that jumpers it, normally the stereo will draw across that lead and keep your presets, if anyone ever tries to steal the rig as soon as they hot wire it POP goes the fuse.

Thats a good idea. I'm going to run a disconnect also , so I think I'm going with this idea.

I've seen some disconnects at the local Kragen and Monument Auto.
