404's and lockers

I'm kind of new to the mogs but I'm about to put some 404's under my toy and was wondering what to do about the lockers. I know they have manual lockers but what should I do about them, leave them or weld them up. If I leave them is it fairly easy to make it where they can be acutated from inside the truck. Any input is appreciated.

I broke a rear locker once. not wheeling it very hard either.Seeing as it took me 4+ hrs to tear it all down to replace a 25$ collar, I decided to weld it up. (actually I have both ends welded) but mine is a trail rig only. on 42 TSL's

They can be actuated with a cable which should be pretty easy to make work in your toy or several of us have converted to air rams to actuate the locker. Search and you will find threads specific to air ram actuated lockers.
