My hubby and I are looking to buy a Suzuki under $2000.00. What weak spots should we look for? what are common failers and fixes for them?
We are also looking to turn it into a mild/hardcore rig, with 31s, so springover is a must I know. What other inexpensive mods can we do? We want to stay mostly stock. Thanks for your input cim

every samurai i have ever seen always had been rusted out behind the plastic fender flairs, if your looking for flex go with a yj SPOA with a S/R in front.....

Defenitely go with a fuel-injected one. LOT less headache. Watch out for rust under the fender flares and in behind the rocker panel covers.
Other than that,just be careful buying a modified rig - don't assume quality/safe work was done to it.

you can also check under the carpet in the back, cuz alot of ones i've seen the seams are rusted out pretty bad...
i've had no problems with my 85... its running great, but needs mods bad!
