Who's got them and where did you mount them under your rig? ALso please post size, watts, maybe brand and if you are happy with where they are mounted etc. Pictures would also be helpful.
I plan on mounting a flood/fog lamp close to my t-case skid pointing back/down and maybe 2 pointing down from the rear of my front bumper to illuminate the area in front of my wheels... ideas and suggestions are much appreciated.

its best to have them under the rockers in front of the tires so you can see where to place the tires. i used 4 crappy walmart lights (9.95 a Pair) and they do the trick but they don't last very well. burn out quickly and get water in them pretty easy. that being said they are cheap and easy to replace. however, when all of them start going out i will replace them with the roundeyes LEDs.

Cool man - I am trying to figure out how to mount some lights pointing in front of the wheels of my YJ and have them fairly protected as I don't want to fawk with replacing them all the time.

try to get them close to the body mounts. to protect from rock damage. the ones i have busted where from rocks being thrown by the tires.

Depending on how "permanent" you want them, you could drill through the drain plugs in bolt them through there. That's what I did. I used the drain plugs right next to the front seats. That put them at a great angle to illuminate the rear tires. For the front ones, I ziptied them to the fender support bar that runs diagonally under the front fender. It took me about 20 minutes to mount them all up. Honestly, it took me longer to wire them than it did to get them into their locations.
FYI, this install was in a '92 YJ.

Good idea with the rear lights.
Unfortunately at full stuff I would crush the light across the fender support bar.
I was thinking about welding a tab on the frame under the plastic cover that is behind the front bumper. I think the steering box might be in the way of the drivers side. Also gave some thought to mounting on top of the shock tower... That idea is still being thought about - and I am searching for a small set of lights from E-Bay... Found a few that might work...

I have 4 pilot 55watt driving lights, one up in each front fender and two mounted over the rear axle. The rear is perfect but I would like to redo my fronts they still work nicley though and are clear from damage.
