Who is the guy with the yellow Scrambler on 38's. He and a guy with a CJ7 on MTR's (primer red) were at the WV charity ride last year. I was a day late & didnt get to talk with them. Both had nice rides. I fell in love with the 7.

yeahh let me know about the hotel....... id rather than camp, i think april is a rainy season for tenn....

i called the three hotels on the erocc site.... they are all bout the same price.. best western 49.06 per night, days inn 49.95, and jellico hotel 48.95..... the guy i talked to at jellico seemed to be pretty cool, he stated that you can pull your rides up to your front door, there is 110 outlets, they dont mind us wrenching, and the parking lot has plenty of room for trucks and trailers and such......


my vote goes for Jellico, plus i like to support the smaller local type places..............whadiya say?

yeahh, im staying at jellico, talked to one of the eveny guys today, he said the entire town is laid back and happy to have us there....he is also staying at jellico.... he said no problems with wrenching in the large parking lot. he also said there is an all night garage... :D the driver's meeting will be in the town square.... and he expects alot of spectators..... ill be makin reservations by monday......



also, the first place winner of both class's has a garunteed spot in new mexico for the uroc finals.... i believe october.... the top ten are qualified but if they fill the spots with the top 5 then the others are out.....

Give the Jellico Motel a call. They would be the best bet for getting everyone on the same floor (considering there is no upstairs there) and in a block of rooms.

I'm staying at the Jellico Motel as well.

I've never stayed at the Best Western or the Days Inn, so I don't know how the management there would be about working on vehicles in the parking lot. As open as the town is about having us there, I imagine that all of the hotels won't mind what you do.

FYI, a great place to grab a :beer: is Buckner's Trough. They also have excellent smoked pork chops. It is on the East side of the highway on 25W, about a half mile from the Jellico exit interchange. It will be on the map that you will get in your competitor's packet.

Thanks... we sure hope that the events are a success as well. A success for us will be the events being profitable to the non-profit organization that coordinates them so that we can open more/more private lands to OHV travel.

Jellico is in N. Tennessee by the Kentucky border on I-75. It shows up for me on mapquest. You better have some beers for my dog and I Friday morning when we pull in after our 10 hr drive.

You know, this might be lame, but everyone should wear a name tag with their POR names on it while they are out on the trails. I will, and I would like to meet everybody I see.
