Factory spec? 0-deg BTDC.

Mine? Anywhere from 12 to 25 BTDC depending on the rig.. :D :D

6 to 12 at the crank depending how shitty the gas is in the area at the time...we got air managment fuel arround here.

I came to these settings on a friends dyno .

I'm also running a jacobs ignition with the plugs at 60ths

on the dyno the jacobs really proved to me its worth

I'm running no electronic trigger. just using a good set of points to supply the jacobs a ground square wave.

because the points see no current at all they never wear and dont get shorted by small amounts of moisture.

its been bullet proof for 8 years and 50,ooo miles of beating the piss outa it on the same point set.

after long walks and cursing the people who invented the "gold box" the prestolite's and holley electronic shit I'd say the jacobs system is the best mod i'v ever done to a IH motor.

Anyone else? Only 4 on the vacuum advance?
