I'm trying to get my TJ fuel pump out of the stock tank to put it in my fuel cell but i can't get the damn lock ring off of the stock tank to take the pump out. The service manual says i need a special tool but i don't have time to wait till tuesday to get the tool cause i'm trying to go riding tomorrow. I tried just grabbing it and spinning it and also tried puttiing a punch on one of the tabs and hitting it with a hammer to make it sprin but it won't move. Anyone have a trick to get this damn thing off real quick without cutting it off? I did search and i know this might shouldn't be in hardcore so i appoligize but i'm trying to get it done tonight and didn't think id get a response in the newb section. Thanks.
