There is a Scout II for sale for $500 dollers. I buy it, put the axles under my Zukie, take the engine rebuild it drop it and the tranny into the Zukie too. Should I go ahead and replace the T-case also??? How does this setup sound??? I know the engine and tranny will be fun but I'm pretty sure I can do it. Give me some advice and opinions on my Scout/Zukie idiea.
Thanks:beer:

Engine is real heavy, probably a 345. Tons of torque though. I dont think i would do it but to each is own.............

You're nuts. The Scout II engine and transmission will weigh as much as your entire zuk does now. The axles would be a good swap, but the engine & tranny would be a horrible swap.

I would pass on that one -

If you got a woodie to replace the entire drivetrain in your Samurai, I would look for a $500 Toyota straight-axle truck.

Is the sheet metal in good condition? buy the truck and use it as is (as a Scout) - if you want a Scout.

For $500 there are better donors to be had. Get some waggy or Toy axles...

Yeah, that sounds like it would suck all around. Scout fronts take work to get acceptable camber, the tranny and tcase could be cool, motor is WAY too big and heavy...
