Can the stock intake manifold be used on the install of the bc broncos q-jet? Also is there anything that is difficult about the install. And finally will it pass emissions in colorado? It is a 73 EB with an EGR.

Our local parts store has an adapter to go from q-jet to 2bbl. It cost $15-$20. I'm sure summit has them as well. I almost put a q-jet on my bronco, but decided to hold out for a stock throttle body off a t-bird or something. Until then, I've actually got my holley working quite well.

If you've already got a motorcraft, I don't think I'd mess with it. They do very well offroad.

I would also be using the adapter from Bc Broncos if that is the type of adapter you are speaking of. I have a motorcraft but it has just quit on me so I am looking at options. Any info on the new Holley Truck Avenger??? Thanks for the help so far.

Those adapters don't work very well. If it were me I would buy a Edlebrock aluminum intake and ditch the stock manifold. That way you don't have to use those crummy adapters and you get a better and lighter intake manifold. You would still have to buy a square/spread bore adapter, but the 4 bar/4bar adapters are more like a carb spacer that the 2 bar/4 bar adapters. Just my $0.02, but I am running a 460 with an Edelbrock intake manifold and I am also about to swap on a Qjet.
