Anyone sell you something advertising rebuilt and you pull it apart finding something totally different, anyway I made out good on this deal for a motor header and carb, however instead of telling me theres no guarenty (spelling) on the condition, they tell you its rebuilt only xxxxxx miles then you put it in and it blows up shortly down the road and you tear it apart to find factory everything in that part, well here is a good example http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?p=4984857#post4984857
people should be honest it should say the truth or if you don't know then say you don't know, anyway no hard feelings against the seller just want people to be honest when selling these used parts, where all here for the same reason, well most of us anyway.

so is the head you were selling that you claimed was rebuilt off the motor you bought that you are saying was not rebuilt?

Rebuilt doesn't mean nothing.

Rebuilt can mean as little as , going in and fixing the problem, what ever it maybe and replacing nothing else.

Lets say the timing chain broke, go in replace the timing chain and guides . Bam, Rebuilt.

BTW I have redone several motors, and still able to use stock sizes some of the time.

I had a similiar situation when I bought a LT1 from someone on this board. The Motor was supposed to have 41,000 miles on it and was never taken apart and was to include everthing except the wire harness. Well it was missing parts. It was not the same motor as the picture that was sent to me. The motor had been pulled apart and looks like it was left open for awhile since there was grass and dirt inside. Then you can tell it was thrown back together since some of the bolts where not tight and some rocker arms where not adjusted. Well now it's at the machine shop getting a good cleaning and having everthing checked out. Like you said if the seller would have been honest about the motor and what was done I wouldn't be pissed.

The definition of rebuilt means all worn parts replaced. Anything less would be an overhaul.
