Got any pics?, I'm thinking about doing it. However it's always easier with pics.

Yea it shouldnt be that hard I didnt use an ifs box but for my chevy box I cut out a plate of 1/4" bolted the box to it and then welded the plate to the frame. seems to have stiffened up the area too. It helps to get a nice comfy chair and a and stare at the fram and the box for an hour or two. You'll be amazed what you come up with.

that beer and staring at it always works with excellent results... but then again it's only 1 box 3 bolts and 1 frame rail... not like your performing brain surgery here. just buy the stuff and do it. then post pics and tell us how much you like it.

I think I am gonna do the IFS box and it shouldn't be that hard to cut a piece of iron for a mounting plate, but what about the steering pump? Should I use the same pump for that box or what? What kind of adapter did you use to mount the pump? THanks for the help.

I don't think the IFS box is necessary on Samurai's. The '78-'81 Celica, Supra, Corolla, Cressida box will should 35" tires (33's for sure) and a lot of abuse. Becides I can get them for $15 CDN at the wreckers( I carry one as a spare just in case). IFS boxes are like gold and everyone want gold for them over here.
