Ok, I was wondering what stock size springs you would sugest running 33's w/, I have the Ranchos now, But they have gone flat some time ago.(no bump stops yet) I want to keep my Revolvers, I like how they work, and I like running w/ them, but I'm stepping up to 33's and W. my 1/2 to 1" over stock spring over, well maybe more. I dont' want the 33's to rub? I'm running 30's and 31's, and had no problem w/ one inch more height I'm a little worried I'll tear them up. Any suggestion on some good springs, etc.. before I jump on this.
Thanks,
-Adam And Mary C.

I have 3" Calmini's. They work well, no rub'n at full stuff. As far as flex there fine, I can still ramp atleast a 1000 on 23*. I also like them cause I didn't have to fool around with any mods, I wanted a good spring that worked.

Heh Fat,
did you have to go to any kind of custom driveline? or did you just use d-line spacers.
oh wait you went to
toy axles didn't you?
I was thinking of thoose,
are thoose the HD ones or the standard 3" springs?
Thanks again,

i ran the calmini 3" hd springs for about a year... now i'm sure they would have worked better if i was soa at the time. i was running sua in that 5" calmini lift piece of crap. said i'd be able to get 25" of flex. i got about 17" with 33x14 boogers. needless to say i was very disapointed with them. they were just so stiff that i would get headaches from bouncing around in the truck. go yj's or cj's they're super squishy, and you can pick them up for around $50. also they will easily fit 33's. the cj's will go in with almost no mods. or if your up for a big project check out the ford aerostar coils. they are pretty sweet looking. havn't seen them on a zuk yet either.

There are the Non HD's. They didn't have an over load, however we took the rear overload off the stock pack and made some alterations to it before we added it to the new pack. It works pretty good, I don't know how it compares to the Jeep spring set but it works well with the soa and the 33's. It also gave me the lift I need to run 35's when I use up my stock pile of 33" BFG MT's.

I would love to go w/ 2.5" wides springs, like the YJ's, but after dumping money into the Revolvers, My wife will crap If I get rid of them and go to something different.
well unless someone here wants to buy them for say 300 and you pay for shipping,
they have maybe 2months on them, heck they're still new. I gues If I'm going to dump money into it, I could just swap in some cj springs and put the rears up front, that way I could still us my revolvers..wel see,
Thanks again..
Has anyone tried that coil kit from RRO?
it looks pretty sweet, and might work right, I wonder if it handles good on the road though?

I'm running 33x12.50's on 15x8's with 2 inch b/s and I don't have any rubbing problems. I just got back from running Holy Cross (Colorado) and I didn't rub the whole time. I have a SPOA with stock springs. It has a Calmini Shackle Rev. in the front, though, but you probably sit about as high as I do with those revolvers. ~Steve

Holy Cross...cool, lets see some Pics..
I'm going to test fit a friends 33's this weekend and see how they do, I can stuff my 30's all the way to the wheel well now, so I'm pretty sure bump stops are coming in the future..
Thanks.

We didn't really take too many pics, but I will have to see what we did get. Another guy had the camera, so it may be a few days before I can get my hands on the pics. I made all the Jeep guys look bad when I crawled up Cleveland Rock on my second try, second only because my first line wasn't the best. I definiately had the quickest time, though. And the wider tires and wheels make all the difference in the world. Later. ~Steve
