How can i convert a Dana 44 HD into a part-time [Archive]

Hi Guys,

I just bougth a Canadian CUCV 1976, it's a K20 modifed for Military and it got front Dana 44 HD with full time hubs and a rear 14 bolts boths with 4.56 gear. But my question was how do i put manual hubs on the Dana 44, do i have to buy a kit? for internal hub or external hub and if so can i get a direct bolt on application from other 4x4 with the same axle.

Thank guys for helping out. Well these axles are going to be a great upgrade to replace my stock axle with 4.10 ratio and running 36 inch Swamper.

Just go buy a set of hubs and put them on. as for internal or external, what's on there now? If it has 6 3/8" bolts holding on a cap you need external hubs. If it has a smooth cap then you need internal hubs.
