I called Randys ring and pinion the other day to check their prices, of course they were more money than drivetrain warehouse, but they are not genuine gear crap either. The guy on the phone asked me what drivetrains price was and came real close to matching it, but I got US made gears and real install kits. Two days later the parts were on my door step. BTW I got 5.13 gears for a dana 44 and ford 9", Arb for the 44, Spool for the 9", a 44 spool for my buddy and install kits for three axles. Everything came, but one set of gears, will let you know when they get here. Just thought I would let you all know what a good company this is.

Can you tell what I'm gonna do to my rig?

Did U bother to call GEARMAN at River City Diffs? he is a PIRATE CLUB member, hell of a great guy, posts allot of info here for free, can't see why u bb members don't even bother to give him your buiss, seems pretty well rude:( not trying to rip on you, u r not the only poster that leaves a post like yours:) would be nice to support a fellow bb user, + he is a true Pirate to boot, and they do allot to support our hobbie!

I think we would all support other PBB members before thowing our money to others, but if they can't beat someone elses price, we can't be expected to just waste our money.

BTW I do thank GEARMAN for all the tech advise!!!

That's weird, because I've been doing some gear shopping myself and no one will even come close to what GearMan is offering. His name is Sean and he owns River City Diffs. :D Randy's Ring and Pinion is $$$ in my opinion, but I'm sure they offer great service. Oh well, two different views :p No need to fuss with it, you're happy happy with your deal, I'm happy with my deal...we're all happy and that's what counts. :D :D :D

LOL! Seabass, gearman is a LOCAL shop, not mail order, the guy is from Denver. Gearman has personly told me shipping is a pain in his ass! But all you Nor Cal folks can go see him, worth the drive, he kicks butt!

They were nice guys and were very helpful, it just wouldn't have made good business sense for them in this instance.

Randy's does not sell Genuine's, the badge with the G inside is a US gear ;)

they have 2 lines the Yukon (mostly US made)(by US GEAR) and the Value Gear (import) neither line are made by Genuine...

yes i do have personal knowledge of this ;)

and for you local guys...Gearman rocks! I have given large portions of my paycheck to RCD and I have been happy every time (with the deal and the end product). I always give Sean the highest reccomendations.

Back when I was gettin gears I got the impression from Gearmans posts that he was not very interested in just mail ordering the parts. Now if you want him to set the gears up and are willing to pay for shipping & handling, thats a different matter.

I got the best price on Toy 5.29's and great service from West Coast Differentials. YMMV
