This isnt the most hardcore build, its a fun toy.
I am going stock SPOA, it had 3 inch lift springs SPUA, but all leaves were broken. So anyway, i bought the Spidertrax Steering Kit and SPOA kit with the F250 towers.
I just ordered the 4.9 gears from TT, and the DT8000 shocks will be ordered when i get the mounts welded up.
While i had the axles out, i noticed something. They have lockrights front and rear! Its gona be a lil tough on the arms, but i should be alright after i do the twin stick on the case.
I have 31's that i am going to put on it for now.

After all that, i going to play with it and wheel the shit out of it. I will be adding a RockRat cage soon after the buildup also.

I have an 85 yota pickup and i am going to part it out on ebay, but keep the driveshafts and axles for the future of my samurai.

I have some buildup pics here: www.offroadworld.net/neal

You might notice the concrete blocks, but i have since bought the other two big jackstands and i never got under it with blocks, so dont fret!
If anyone is in the Rockport/Badlands/Cliffs Insane Terrain area, give me a pm and lets go wheelin!

Thanks for the comments.
I just got all the spring bushings out, and put in my new polyurathane bushings. It seems as if the bushings for the bigger ends have 9/16 holes instead of 1/2. This kinda sucks. Does it mean i am gona have to redrill my shackles? I also gotta go buy new bolts now too!

surprise surprise. and don't worry about the lock rights. I had em front and rear and it wasn't shit. cuz remember, if you're in the mud, they turn easy at the same speed and can be steered easy. if you're on high traction, the outside wheel unlocks and freewheels faster than the pinion. the only thing that really sucks is welding the front diff!!!

That makes me feel a little better.

I got the front and rear axles under it and all the brakelines hooked up. I just need to bleed the breaks, get my 31's mounted, and install tcase gears.
Then i need to make bumpers.

I might try to take out for fun to see before and after with gears.
