im kinda new to the whole v8 rear drive truck thang but anyway, to get this truck i might purchase to start up and run, i have to pour a lil bit of fuel into the carb then the beast will fire right up, i wanna get that fixed becuz everytime it shuts off i dont wanna have to get out, open the hood, get the mountain dew bottle full of gas and just pour a lil bit in and start it up, i just wanna press the gas like twice then hit the button and she'll start. once it starts it will take fuel from the tank.

more specs, what carb/motor etc. sounds like a weak, or non-working accelerator pump in the carb. easy enough to check. look down the throat of the carb (where you pour the gas) and pump the throttle. you should see two streams of fuel being discharged at the top of the venturis down into the carb. if not, well, thats why knowing what carb is on it would help for the next step.

Yup, sounds like a bad accelerator pump. When it's warmed up, you should just have to hit the key, no pumping. Judging by the tiny pic I saw, it probably needs a tune-up too (among other things).
