I have spent the last two days reading and searching over here, but still have one question.
I have a 1972 Scout II that came with the 258. I already have the 4.0 HO head and I am grabbing the junkyard parts for the fuel injection.
I see the Mopar kit is based on the 1994 Wrangler fuel injection kit....
My question is can I find the harmonic balancer CPS setup on a 1994 Jeep with v belts, or is that a custom part only found in the aftermarket kits?

i'm pretty sure that is the HESCO kit mod. most 4.0 have the cps on the flywheel.

v belts stopped around 1990. The 4.0L has serp belt. you can do a few things: machine your stock harmonic balancer for the notches, get a 4.0L H.O. flywheel and put the CPS in the tranny, or Just get the balancer with the notches already in it. I got almost everthing for my efi swap too. I would have done a few things different. I bought the serpentine balancer with the notches on it, but I might sell it on ebay since I think I could modify a stock one to be the same.

Since this is in a Scout I wasn't sure about doing the bellhousing CPS. I know the bellhousings are different, and have no problem doing the machine work myself.
I haven't pulled the 4spd out, but I don't think the Jeep HO flywheel will work with my IH parts.
I will do more research on what needs to be done for that style CPS. I was just hoping for a complete junkyard bolt on kit.... :vader2:
