: 14 bolt drum

Hello does anyone know how many sizes of drums for dually 14 bolts were made I have a 1982 1 ton the drums the parts house shows should fit are larger than the ones that are on the truck could the rearend be from an older truck maybe 70s any help would be great thx

Most of the ones I've seen are 13" drums, but, IMHO I wouldn't even mess with them. It's cheaper to put discs on them, than to buy 2 new drums..

3 sizes----11''x 2.5'' single wheel--(early 73,74, some 75 maybe) 13''x 2.5'' most common, single wheel also. 13''x 3.5'' this is the most common dually drum. JB8 brake system I believe.

For all years of the 14 bolt, there were at least two sizes of brakes. Most 3/4 tons got 11 inch brakes, and heavy 3/4 tons (certain options) and all 1 tons got 13 inch brakes.

Hello thanks everybody who took the time to help on the drums this truck is supposed to be an 82 1 ton 4x4 dually but the further i get into it i have a feeling it was cobbeld together well at least the front end is right according to the bom on the axle tube thanks

There's both DRW and SRW drums for the 13x3.5" shoes. DRW drums are much deeper.
