I have never driven an automatic in the off-road other than an Explorer 4x4. I was just wondering, are these transmissions too weak for off road?

I don't think so, but I'm trying to remember anybody else who wheels a Kick with a slush-box.

A friend of mine has a 98 4dr with Toys and 35's. he is running the 4sp auto in his. All he did was add an external cooler. The thing wheels great. No issues, all ok.

I researched a while back and found that most only recommend the external cooler. Said they hold up real good.
Aren't they a std GM tranny, used in other small cars?

I have a TM-180 out of a Tracker in my Samurai, along with a double t-case setup. I've had zero problems in 03 comps........ But then I'm really easy on my equipment.........:D
